 The Recording Process, with Westney Productions*
Creative Sessions
Decide on target for product. This determines how it will sound, what it will look like, who will play it. This dictates who will work on the music. The number of units to be delivered initially is decided. Decisions on who will produce, how royalties will be handled, discussions on marketing and how Westprod will be involved if at all, decisions on ownership and administration of finished product all decided on. All available music material is assembled and rough drafts may be necessary. From these sessions a detailed budget and time schedule is drawn up.
Time: approx: 10-15 hrs
Equipment and supplied needed: cassette tape player and recorder, cassette tapes, telephone/fax, word processor and printer, copier, stationery, postage, songwriters, arrangers, piano, keyboards.
